Application Forms and How to Apply

Tourism & Hospitality Training

The Wolwedans Desert Academy is a vocational training provider accredited by the Namibia Qualification Authority (NQA) and registered with Namibia Training Authority (NTA). It is located at Wolwedans in the heart of NamibRand Nature Reserve (Hardap).

The Desert Academy is a Wolwedans Community Development Project that has over the last twelve years graduated 300 graduates through the Wolwedans Foundation. The success of this training programme vests with “the living classroom” approach, a dual system where theory and practical exposure are carefully balanced.

We thus hereby invite 16 young applicants for admission for a next round of training. Applicants must be passionate about hospitality.

Theory and practical training is provided at Wolwedans, hence trainees must be prepared to stay in the desert for ten consecutive weeks at a time. There will be a two weeklong break in between as well as longer December holidays (except for internships during the final year of the training program).

Transport to/from Windhoek to Wolwedans as well as boarding will be provided as part of the course.
